Technically not.

The division of thought for most BMXers appears to be that a BMXer that happens to have a fixed wheel is okay but all the hipsters using them is out of order as they're just doing it for the sake of fashion.

That's the focus of that particular blog post but if you look at some other BMX sites you'll see that the hatred is more general than that.

a lot of mountainbikers have a BIG problem with other riders, roadies always. but now fixie kids have given them a whole new target to scream "gay!" at every opportunity.

I've done mtb, road, track and bmx and the bmx and track guys are the ones who bitch the least about other types of riding.

Fucking cyclists are always fucking moaning about other cyclists. Most I've met over the years are annoying cocks at the best of times.
And some others are really decent people.
