Seriously though it does slightly sadden me when I hear West Indians slagging off Africans or vice versa. Almost more so than hearing some white English person slagging off the Poles or whatever, possibly because this, at least to me, seems more predictable. But what really pisses me off are people playing the race card when it's clear there's no racism involved, I remember seeing a guy trying to get out of a parking ticket, the driver was black and the attendant was white. It just totally undermines the seriousness of real racism in action and what can be done to address it, which is sad, short-sighted and enormously selfish.

I got this in halls in shoreditch. I found a guy littering our postboxes (inside the halls, christ knows how he got there) and had words. He wasn't the brightest of lights. I explained to him that most people in the building were either gay, asian or at the least, not conservative. The fact that a rep trying to encourage people to vote for their party can (try to) insult (he made me laugh) a potential voter in such a simplistic way was certainly unusual.
I say we vote them in; more fun protests.

Seriously though, who am I as a first time voter able to vote for? Labour is a wasted vote, the liberals don't have much of a direction, although they do a pretty good job in a constituency that I lived near down in somerset; Socialist parties don't appeal that much and Greens are slightly off with the fairies, although I like the local models that they propose-decentralisation and more local governments, a restriction on unneccessary food shipping etc. But they're not exactly pro EU from what I understand either....hmph.
