Come to BANGFACE on Friday ;)
I've got to say the soundcloud mix on their homepage is a classic - proper afterhours mayhem.

I will definitely be checking out bangface on the friday, just took delivery of my festival beer. Darkstar apa, 15 litres should keep me ticking over, rum and ginger ale still needed.

People watch bands at Glastonbury?
-
• #311
Not been to Glastonbury since 1995, bet it has changed a hell of a lot since then...and no I did not see any bands, copious amounts of LSD put paid to that.
-
• #312
you can see bands any time of year, waste of time at Glastonbury.
-
• #313
The weather continues to be neither pleasant nor entertainingly awful and booths have been set up to help people cope with the realisation they have paid the price of a holiday in Tuscany to camp in a farm whilst listening to XFM.

^^ this - real virginal mistake - pissing about trying to get from one stage field to another - fuck that
2003 last time I went - saw Primal Scream on the Friday, that was it, job done - rest of time in various tents/green field/stone circle/wandering about

When staggering around under the influence with a group of friends, we sat down to have a drink and watch of some crusty circus folk. My mate & I weren't particularly concentrating on what was going on and suddenly got grabbed to participate.
We had to hold on to one end of a rope, fed through a wooden frame, with a couple of other guys at the other end. The performer then used it as a tightrope and got up and played the violin balancing and walking to and fro. This seemed to go on for hours in our altered state and we had a massive terror of letting the whole thing fall down but barely enough strength to keep holding on. Worst audience participation ever.
Everyone else was pissing themselves laughing.

^Ha, that's Lindsay playing fiddle on the slack rope, he's been doing that act for 25 years. I guarantee he knew how spangled you were...

DREDGE!
Has anyone ever ridden to Glasto? What are the extra facilities like? Is it gonna be an ass on road tyres?
Thinking of riding....
from Manchester

Yes, from London. Bike parking is excellent. You'll have no problem on road tyres. Wouldn't recommend riding around the site though.

Brilliant, am also thinking i can make food/booze runs rather than just eating from falafel vans all weekend

Its quite a trek to your nearest shop, especially with festival traffic.
I'm fire stewarding the Spirit of 71/Glade stage - at least it looks like the weather's going to be OK...
