This year's line up is unbelievable! Bruce Springteen! Crosby Stills and Nash! Neil Young! It might aswell be woodstock 69! I'm going to benni this year too although the line up isn't nearly as good. I'm seriously considering riding it (to glasto, although could pedelo to benni) but don't know how i'll make the ride back afterwards.

Apart from Nick Cave and the YYYs, I'm assessing the main line-up as being poor to average. Always a good excuse to check out the lesser known 'acts'. Not that I'm going, I'm in Spain. And broke. And too late on ticket day.

Rode up Glastonbury Tor on the Tour of Wessex. Not a bad climb. Dangerous descent.

The magic of Glastonbury is beyond the headliners imo, look at someone like Peaches for example doing up one of the dance stages. She is one of those gems you're not going to find at the smaller shows. Someone also mentioned Easy Star All Stars - playing one set at main stage, and another at the dance hole, that's going to be epic.
And the list goes on...I'm going and it's my first time at a British festy, and I'm sure it will be a great time. Although I have to say Sars-stock in Toronto was one of the best shows I've ever been to, I doubt Glastonbury will top it.

Glastonbury goers are in for a treat! Neil Young in Aberdeen last night - phenomenal! Always wanted to see him but never got round to it!
Wish I could buy his guitar sound off the shelf!

he also forgot to mention the armies of lifestyle porn addicts and their trustafarian spawn slumming it with their cool bags and designer wellies for the weekend. it's been an annual pilgrimage for that crowd ever since the guardian decided that glasto was the single biggest cultural event of the year about... when was it now? yeah, probably about the same time they started exhuming clapped out dad-rockers to headline instead of booking exciting current acts.
don't get me wrong, i'm a huge neil young fan. and i like springsteen and blur. i just don't remember glastonbury being so... mojo.

the big outdoor english festivals are a rip off beyond words now... euro festivals are so much better. weather good, beer good, food passable, toilets just as grim, more showers and a lot less people and more importantly a lot less kids who are away for the first time and decide setting light to gas canisters is a good idea...wankers
I fucking hate camping at uk festivals

yeah dude was fucking immense, got back around 3 today aswell, Blur were so awesome, just when i thought bloc party were to have had one of the best sets, blur pull a blinder,!!!
'snot really abut the line up though is it? The great thing about Glaso is the scale, the vibe and the 'magic' of the place. It's got the history to make it feel like you're somewhere special, like you're really getting away from the reality of a mundane 9 to 5 existance.
Would like to give ATP a go one year too.
