I've been using the wheels pretty much daily for 8/9 months but I though that they were meant to be bulletproof?
Said every customers, ever.

Anyone know a bike shop in London that can service mack hubs? I'd like to take them to someone that knows what they are doing. Preferable North or central.

How long did it take for you guys to get an answer from Mack?
I wrote him about a week ago and didn't get a response yet. -
• #309
do they still make them?
-
• #310
You gotta buy them via sm parts. Hell, I even searched them for you. Here:

EDIT - Looked at the last page, heading to sbc cycles soon.

As I said before I bought some parts for my hubs from him just before Christmas. He took about 2 days to respond to each of my emails (I sent 3, 2 about the parts and 1 regarding payment) but shipped promptly after payment. These were small parts that he head in stock, hubs would probably take a couple of months.
Edit: also asked him about the clothing business mentioned earlier somewhere, apparently he has got nothing to do with that

Thanks, but I'd prefer to buy from the man himself :)
Shot another mail today, hope to get an answer soon!

I think he increased everything by 10 Eur, from memory, compared to what I paid few years ago

I also asked for hubs in stock
He was very cagey about this when I asked as well. Did you ask about blemish stock too?

Yup, but same answer as above.

An update. My front hub developed some play which couldn't be fixed. I messaged Mack and he has sent me a replacement. Good guy👍.
-
• #319
Why couldn't it be fixed? I had play in mine recently and fitting new bearings sorted it.

Finally got my order through.
I can still make some changes in the next 2 weeks. Any tips that are worth considering? Ordered standard 28h low flange hubs. -
• #321
Got my rear hub with 6 bolt disc mount on one side (fixed other) so you can use ISO cogs. Means you can modify chain line and you don't have to worry about stripping threads. Obviously costs a little more than the standard hub
-
• #322
No way, man. Threaded cogs!

Just received my order here in Finland. I ordered in total 21 hubs and I paid with Western Union. I was a bit worried with the payment, as sending nearly 2000 euros to a person I don't know is not probably the safest bet, but it went fine after all. I made the order in November and it was ready few weeks ago.
