  • ideas here please.

    1. animated avatar (more than 12k or whatever) : £5 pa
    2. auction of unused / no-longer used member ID's
    3. hire a midget (£10 per hour)
    4. make your thread sticky for 4 weeks: £20
      5....
  • Block Fred . . . Priceless ;)

    1. give someone swine flu/rage virus/ something else £50

    (i'm watching 28 weeks later)

  • Block Fred . . . Priceless ;)

ha! voluntary euthanasia - like it!

    :-)

  • I got a trolly jack I don't use anymore

  • groan!

  • :-)

I've also got a bottle full of change - how about a guess how much is in the bottle - ?p a go?

  • Could we have an auction of bike parts, but people didn't know what they were getting, just knew that they could get something amazing for essentially nothing?
i'd be willing to put some stuff up.

More of a raffle than an auction, but I think this is a great idea.

  • the LFGSS sale... hire a room/field, everyone turn up with spares and cash... all profits to LFGSS?

Spitalfields City Farm would probably be prepared to talk hosting...

  • tracknut shy?

    pearl white elephant?

    brake sale?

    rim hoopla?

    fancy dress contest?

    beetle drivetrain?

    karaoke keirin?

    wet LFGSS t-shirt competition?

    injury face painting?

    guess the weight weeny?

  • I'm thinking of things that are done on-forum that people will pay for.

"enhanced services" if you know what I mean.

  • have SP design a house for them for £50?

I can supply EPO for £100
or a variety of carcinogens for more
    and other stuff

  • £50?! :(

  • Josh; £50 is the going rate for elevations these days, and you know it!

  • Make the donation button more obvious, I didn't even notice it there until it has been mentioned in the other topic.

  • donate

  • a small fee for setting up a social group? This may slow down the progression of groups like "lets turn our hamsters into stealth ninja's".

you're probably right actually Ben: £50 for plans, £50 for sections and £50 for elevations ;)

  • a small fee for setting up a social group? This may slow down the progression of groups like "lets turn our hamsters into stealth ninja's".

The fee/subscription proposal only had 3 perks mooted:
    1) Creating threads in classifieds
    2) Creating social groups for hamsters
    3) Virtually unlimited storage for PMs

#3 is kinda irrelevant as I already set the value so high you're unlikely to reach it.

  • I still think number 1 is a bad idea...

  • How about this one...

Legacy donations of the cycling part of your estate in your will.

Then all we have to do is get people adequately drunk and the money will roll in.

(Half kidding, I'd hate hate hate anything to ever happen to anyone, but the concept of legacies is an interesting one that charities use all the time)

  • You do realise that if anyone did leave a legacy, I'm dobbing you into crimestoppers as a suspect in the death. Naturally the forum will get a cut of any reward money handed out.

  • lets do a 24hr jail break kind of thing / enjoyable social
leave from central london and see how far we can get on a bike in 24hrs
fund raisers like this are fun and will attract attention
24hrs at 10 miles an hour you could cover 260 miles thats quite a distance
    1 pound per mile sponsorship
we could have the forum running for years to come
one big effort by everyone and we could have dave taking baths in 5 pound notes before the end of the summer
