  • that bike remind me of getting my hair cut

  • It has some Barbershop stripe going on.

Is it mental to put a 650c wheel on those forks? That'd give you a level top tube, and shouldn't be too twitchy. I'd do that (maybe).

  • I'm liking that frame.

Listen to Donut... the man talks sense.

  • I love the frame.

  • I love the frame, but I hate what you've done to it.

    .

  • That's not a quick release lever on the back, is it?

  • is that a dura ace stem? nice.

  • that bike is kinda sending out a lot of mixed messages, mixed and not coherent.
    focus grasshopper !

  • shopping list:

    650 chromed front fork
    white deep v's
white saddle (check out the white supercorsa at 14... lush)
    chromed risers
    white oury grips

  • What's wrong...?

You are atempting to convert a highy specialised bike intended to be used for extreme bodily positions at high speeds on the track (only humanly possible because the race lasts less than five minutes) into a bike to be used as a commuter on the open road....

I suggest buying a racy looking hybrid, stripping it and sending the frame to armourtex, don't forget the kickstand when you put it all back together.

  • the voice of reason echoing in the foggy air above a turgid sea of consumerism.

Err . . isn't that what most of are doing? Not least the Lo-Pro crew!

  • are dust caps not cool? i have some tesco skull and crossbones on my bike :-p

  • How many times do we have to see a picture of this half-bike?

  • Err . . isn't that what most of are doing? Not least the Lo-Pro crew!

Next you'll be telling me that a frame builder has started reproducing these ugly assemblages in order to cash-in on this foolish "craze"......

apparently tubes only come with dust-caps to protect the tube from them sharp valve ends when packaged......so THEY* say you should take them off, can't think of any reason why leaving them on is such a big deal either or getting custom ones....they have protected my valves form grit in the rain and kept them trouble free.

    *the cool kids

No, but we are all, or most of us, taking track specific frames and making them commuter and or general use bikes.

There are some beautifully crazy bikes that get ridden on a daily basis and loved by their owners!

Exibit A: George Sportifs Lo Pro. I've ridden quite a few miles with him on this.

  • I feel sick

  • Try lying down in a cool place and drink plenty of water!

Not really, there's a whole skipfull of dead puppys out there.

  • Hence 'most of us'. I know there are plenty of conversions out there too, I've got one hanging up at home. :)

  • The geo looks awful, purely because of the 700c front wheel and forks.
    Sort this,
    Silver componentry,
    Pursuit bars,
Unionjack san marco regal + red, white, and blue splash bar tape (hey, bikes are for fun ;) )

  • @donut/nodder, best place for it.

  • Oi! I ain't no Nodder Murt's. :P
