Spammer appreciation thread

Don't we all love our spammers? People who sign up to post the same stupid link, not infrequently decorated with faulty HTML formatting, into as many threads as possible before they, and all their posts, are swiftly nuked (see what I did here?).

I wish I could post lots of very large pictures of spammers, especially for those forum members on dial-up who suddenly find themselves with 27 updated subscribed threads in their User CP when a spammer hits, but I'm afraid they're a little camera-shy. So if you have an authentic picture of a spammer, do show us what they look like.

(Oh, and if this is going to be a proper appreciation thread, someone will need to complain about appreciating spammers, how tasteless it is, etc., so I'd be grateful if someone could volunteer to do the honours.)

I was thinking along the same lines, but apart from sending them a fuckton of e-mails asking stupid questions I couldn't think of anything.

I don't think its a spambot, as has been suggested before.

For example, why haven't all threads been spammed? And why at certain times?
Then, spamming this thread, shows a sense of humour, that a program shouldn't possess.

Don't do a thing publicly, just hit the report button.

Last night one person manually had to make 80 spam posts, it must've taken about 30 minutes out of her life to do that. It took me about 30 seconds to nuke all of it.

Anyhow, they're from China. The IP range has now been blocked, Akismet anti-spam has been enabled, and I've noticed that all of the users they registered shared a similarity so any user that arrives with that similarity will be automatically nuked.

And to the question: "How did they get past the nursery?", they didn't... they never PM'd anyone, so all of their spam was public and we could do something about it, and they also never started a thread... people in the nursery are allowed to respond to existing threads, which is what happened.

Key points: Don't reply or tell them to fuck off, in all likelihood they can't speak English anyway... just hit the report button and if I'm online it will be instant, and if not it will be done as soon as I am online.

Good work, Velocio. We love our spammers here, and they deserve premium service.

In the even that you want to spam someone's email...sayy for telling you to come meet them at Canada Water to buy a bike they put up for sale, then calling and saying they'd be there in 10 minutes, then never showing up and never answering their mobile again...how would one go about doing that for retribution?
