Just because the driver was in the wrong does not make the cyclist in the right.
I didn't necessarily say i was right, it was foolish of me to assume that he'd seen me, yet surely if the driver starts indicating as he goes for the turn and cuts across a lane puts him in the wrong?

Worth bearing in mind that on some cars the relay circuit for the indicators doesn't necessarily get going for nearly a full cycle after the switch is moved. Not sure if it's an issue on newer cars, though.

You are also ignoring the fact that EVERY road user MUST avoid an accident if they can.
As I keep saying, ignoring an indicator signal and continuing (even if the law says the car should wait) means the cyclist failed to avoid an accident. Split liability would result - the driver arguing he took all precautions before making the turn.
Rider should have waited. Take it to court and see if I'm wrong. Dare ya. :)

i was riding down churchstreet and a 4x4 came up beside me with a gap of about 2 inches.
if i just turned my wheel a little bit i would of gone straight under the 4x4. -

no consideration...

Remember seeing two cars that had crashed head on, i'd guess the occupants were either killed or at least seriously injured, had to suppress the same smirk...
Cars taking each other out - two less cars.

God i hate 4x4 up where i live in hereford, no other cars give you hassle apart from a few taxis and all the 4x4s each coming as close as possible to me one nearly hit my bars and then beeped at me! damn morons gave him the finger :) made me feel a little better! oh well just got to be aware of everything and take a look behind you every so often.

Saw an X5 that had been petrol bombed all burnt out with 3 bodies inside. Gutted as I really needed that petrol for my lawnmower. Still one less car....
+1 - memories of the Lamborghini thread come flooding back...
