To keep in thread topic. I sharpened the blades of my mini-food processor thing the other day using a stone and a steel.

I actually did the similar thing, I have a Lansky Blade Medic thing for sharpening chopper blades and scissors.
The magnetic diamond tapered rod is an excellent mini steel.

I got one of these to make coleslaw. I hate slicing coleslaw manually, no rich relations to buy me a Kenwood.

In the UK, I agree but the rest of Europe have better versions.

Isn't a mandolin the usual method for coleslaw.

Chinese cleaver for cabbage demolishing duties.
I prefer longer shreds rather than small chopped bits.
Mandolin and leaf vegetables can be pretty dangerous.

I recently started a new job so treated myself to a nice Global Sai to use at work. I’m really happy with it. Feels more sturdy and substantial to hold than my regular Globals and the finish is nice (even if the “hammering” is purely decorative).

Interested to try one of the peel away boards!
I’ve got 2 large Hasegawas that aren’t being used much at present as I’m favouring Asian cleavers right now.

I'm very anti multi-use things - I like stick blenders to do just stick blending, and mini blenders to just do mini blenders.
Mostly because I break and lose stuff.
