Bang on! if you see them regularly they are ice crystals, collapsing and changing shape high in the troposphere, because the winds that high up in the sky are so fast, the patterns dont last longer than a few minutes. Makes for good watching.
You could call the jellyfish 'Cirrus vertebratus' if pedantic.
Earlier posts of that bubble- like cloud are called 'Mamma', found underneath Cumulonimbus.Didnt see the G.P.P program, he is the authority on this though.
