Stone Roses did do a couple of belters.

Indie had too may good tunes to dismiss that easily though, even if I was into rock at the time.

I got dragged to a Cud gig by a mate of mine with curtains, bell bottoms and a purple Om t-shirt. Proper tit.

I was dreading the gig but it was full on mental. I'd been to Wolfsbane gigs, Primus, Jello Biafra, Alice Donut, stuff like that, but nothing compared to how utterly batshit that gig was.

I've been a fan ever since.

Everybody was off their tits on E and whizz.

Stage diving every two seconds with flappy clothes and floppy hair swinging showers of sweat all over the place.

Music was powerful and awesome.

Crowd was just totally out of control, people getting trampled, screaming, generally going berserk.

I can honestly say I've never seen so many people totally losing it in one place like that.

The early Prodigy gigs were like that.

I saw cud two years ago in Brixton. It was embarrassing. The singer guy is now a fat old man who kept interrupting himself to letch at teenage audience members.
