Nice - listened to the first one - Goldie and GQ - earlier. Very good. GQ is probably my favourite. Him, Moose, 5ive-O or Fearless.

What tunes do people like that have recognisable samples - either music or film dialogue. Doing a quiz round...

The recording on the first one is pretty awful. But some are perfectly good to blast.

A friend used to record One in the Jungle on his tape deck, obviously, and we'd listen to them over and over. Good times.

Some of the Screwface remixes were pretty good and the sample sounded good when well timestretched. My brother had a Cape Fear ep with one track I was mad about but, listening back, it’s a bit of a thin tune lacking baseline etc.

Before that, I used to like Scottie but didn’t like Ricky or Johnnie. I didn’t really get those tunes as it felt like the samples were just being used for the sake of it. I guess a record like Ricky in some form was inevitable though because Boys in the Hood was so iconic.

I love Ricky, just for cutting it into the mix. That one is actually already on the list!
