Yeah... That's how I wanted my post to sound...
And I love the Robert Elms show...
Every time I have been in my local doctors (not for me personally - I have a little 1 year old bambino - so I have to do a lot of the doctor stuff) - every time I am there, Robert Elms is sat in reception !!! I must have seen him maybe 5 or 6 times just this year, I reckon he must have something rotten like persistent bum itch.

There's a joke in there somewhere about Dutch Elms disease but I can't be arsed.

You should call in to his notes & queries show (wednesday 12-3) and ask if he has persistent bum itch, galloping green knobrot or something similar. You'll get a bunch of cabbies calling in offering their wisdom on the matter. Then he might play a Smokey Robinson record. Which would be nice.

He's a keen rider that Elms. Often recounting his morning ride round Regents park or his latest schlep to northern Spain on a roadie holiday.
Wouldn't buy a bike from him. Not with the bum itch thing.

I love London for its life and for its many facets.
The (to me) nonsensicsal Pearly Kings and Queens, seemed just costumed jokes, until I found out what they stood for, and their history, from wartime till now.
The fact that St.Bart's Hospital has still standing stones from 1123, and has been giving care since then. Yes, 1123.
Walking under the Thames in the Greenwich tunnel, is really romantic, and visiting the adjacent Painted Halls, is a special treat.
I love the blackness of Brixton, the africanness of Peckham, the asianness of Southall, Wembley and East Ham, the braying horses of Kings Road and Sloane Square greeting the unwashed like me with a "air-hair-lair".
Its the differences I love, the history too. The vibes of Camden, the old pubs, and the cycling scene. Except BMMF. He's not a pub.
There is another place I love more, but London is unmatchable, and I've lived all over the place.

There are too many Australians here.
+1. Im considering leaving London for the states. The final bastion for Australians where we appear not to have totally tarnished our reputation.
I love London. I love the anonymity such a big city provides. I love being answerable to no one. I love how much cabbies like talking shit. I love the riding and the Turkish/Vietnamese/African food on my doorstep. I love the people I've met and the way that the sun is a drug like nowhere else I've ever seen and makes people go a bit mental. I fucking love mushy peas. I love asking a random girl out on the street. I love that she might say yes and I love that if she doesn't, I can just scuttle away and drink 6 cans of Tyskie and everything will be fine. Bloody love Chicken Cottage - oh, and Coronation Chicken - the conservative mans curry! That stuff is GREAT! I love being roundly considered a nutter by my workmates for riding in the rain London. I love the sense of knowing something people who dont ride cant understand. I love discovering new places to eat and drink and knowing that Im only about 2% of the way around. I like knowing that I'll be back in 36 hours.
I like other things too.

Fair enough. Tynan, I don't really know about these things. I was actually trying to direct the conversation towards coronation chicken.
