Where can you get 47 + randos? I've not seen them available anywhere.

wiggle have 38's
http://www.wiggle.co.uk/p/cycle/7/Vittoria_Randonneur_Trail_City_Tyre/5360035187/Thanks Dogs. That will be the minimum width for me. I'm looking at running the kris Holm 29er xc rim 38 mm wide on the rear. (Not for fixed gear though)
With people doing BMX style trick I'm surprised people are not doing BMX style wide tyres, or at least close to that size (BMX 60 mm +, so I'd expect more people running 47 - 50 mm)

ok these are the other vittoria's i tried, the 700x35 was massive!! so the 38's would defo be 40++

Just got Profiles/Euro BB/Spider & Chainring from a guy in Cali for $87.... wanted to get a splined chainring either Tree or Profile but there doesn't seem to be anything bigger than 30t available, emailed Seventies dist about the larger Tree ones but no reply, anyone know if anyone has 36t-ish splined sprockets in the UK yet...?

they are ultra rare, when i damaged mine (36t), the tree boys said it would like 6mths b4 they made them. so i went back to a bolt on 37t tree i had and have had zero issues.

i run extra large 15mm bolt head, so you can use a pedal spanner or something longer to crank the tension on. you can also use profile BB bolts. also use a tiny shim inside the hole if its not a snug fit, plus a big washer to help bite on sprocket. its the type of thing do it once and it stays there.

Call profile UK. They can get the larger sizes in about 2 weeks (or could last time I spoke to them)

personally think its an expensive procedure with the splined, especially if they develop play in a few months, my 2p

Yeah... I'm gonna run my milwaukee polo guard on the profile spider before i try splined...

440mm axle to crown is long.... Makes your geo really slack....
-
• #121
some are 420 - that'd be alright wouldn't it?
-
• #122
Not for fixed freestyle but I'm looking for 47 mm +, 700c slick and semi slick tyres, ideally with good puncture protection and thought you guys might have a few ideas.
Conti do a good range in that size.

I was gonna comment that the Fu Manchu's on the previous page look hella long.
Anyone know the A2C on them? -
• #124
Sorry.. yeh just saw the 440mm ones.. 420mm is better but still a bit long, but it is the same length as the fu manchu... 400mm is better
