Does anyone have a 90mm OS stem I could borrow to try out new positioning?

Haven't posted in years!

I've got a Claud Butler racer that I'm open to offers on. The seatpost is jammed. I haven't tried a vice as I don't have access to one. It might be a good project for someone or someone might want the parts?

Alternatively if anyone has any good advice on getting the seatpost free I'll take that too.

whats the size of the frame travellin' sam?

What material is the frame/seat post? If it's an alloy post in a steel frame then caustic soda (sodium hydroxide) will dissolve the alloy and leave the steel. It'll ruin any paint it touches though so be careful. Pour it down from the BB shell, maybe cut the top off the post so you can safely pour it out (obviously you'll then need to block it when the solution is in there).

Your mileage may vary but it worked for me!

sorry luca, i only have 110mm in oversize and normal. ironically i've just changed down to a 90mm

Get a magnet - the magnet will stick to a steel frame.

I have a spanner that will do the job, though is open ended not ring. Also, still got those wheels?

Anyone got a beater 26" mtb rear wheel for free/cheap? A friend of mine drove over someones back wheel and she needs to sort it out but its only a shit heap bike. Bolt on with screw on freewheel would be ideal but anything would do.
