  • Alright cheers guys, I'll be in the Vigorelli club within the next few weeks

  • Anyone here ride a vigo and get toe overlap?

I ride a large, with 167.5 cranks, size 11 foooots. Slight-veryminimal-tiny-nothingtoworryabout bit of overlap.

  • I saw a guy the other day with a Planet X track with a 650 front specifically to avoid toverlap. Is it so bad that you'd mess up the geometry?
Because my frame is so short, my toe overlap is more of a 'wheel gets jammed between my shoe, pedal and the end of my crank', which is fairly extreme, but it has never bothered me when actually riding. I don't really see what everyone is so worried about?

  • Anyone here ride a vigo and get toe overlap?

I ride a medium and have size 10.5 feet and I can't say I've ever noticed toe overlap problems.

  • ^^ Toe overlap only becomes an Issue when navigating through tight spaces... if you have the room to go fast enough and not have to make such sharp turns no worries

As to running a 650c in the front on a frame not designed or intended it for use wouldn't be the end of the world but doesn't feel optimal for long distances from personal experience

that being said, i still do run a 650 in the front for kicks or for hill climbs every so often

Disclaimer: does not own vig/hist but cinelli fan boy at Heart

  • that being said, i still do run a 650 in the front for kicks

  • think it's time to cave and put my pre-order in, rumor is they'll be arriving late July...

  • ...love proportions of it and those colours, shame about the welds really.

  • welds are pretty shocking on Vig's

  • how do they ride? I'm rocking a trek t1, allu frame from 2008, want to use the vig to cover 150+ miles a week, like to assume newer = better!

  • prob similar to T1. Welds are fine, ask yoself why mtb not braised or filed.

Reduces strength. Creates weak points. eg dales.

  • You're right of course;
this isn't a mountainbike though, is it?

  • Challenge accepted.

  • Tried to find that troll image of Mash with sus forks.

    Still.

New to London, used to ride a steel frame with RB019 bars while in Sydney.. missed riding so I decided to treat myself to this last week..
H+SON Wheelset, laced from outside-in, mostly BLB components.. Not particularly happy with the saddle, might get a fizik saddle?

  • Nice build, even nicer minus the BLB stuff.

  • boom, Vigorosa on pre-order :D

Ordinata what mount you using for the behind the seat cage?

  • ^^^ black SG75 set up and that would be well nice

It's a bontrager Racelite twin bottle cage.

  • I named it "The Cinellis"

  • Still like the black vigo better/best.......

  • So, any tips on drilling the seatstay bridge on my Histogram frame..?

  • Don't?
