Anyone know where I can get rid of old tyres? Don't wanna put them in the bin because most of our waste is incinerated.
Do bike shops accept them for recycling?

Some Household Recycling Centres (aka the dump) will recycle tyres for nowt. Google is your friend.

I don't like to dumpe them away as well. The only thing we could do is to make some belt from them.

I know where I live the majority of waste goes into a energy-from-waste incinerator.
The ash residue leftover is used in the construction industry and actually highly sought after. Its called IBA if you want to look it up.

^chicago screws are handy for attaching the parts of the tyre that old the buckle on.

Also if you can get hold of a hole punch for leather then it would make your life easier. I used a standard hole punch from our office so my holes arent as neat as they could be.

Make sure you use a foldable tyre too. Much easier to to make a belt out of and more comfortable.

What length are those screws? You don't have a few left over that you might want to sell on do you?

theyre 6mm chicago screws. I only had 5 and im not sure where the spare one went.

I bought them from ebay pretty cheap though.
