As your just doing it for cost I cannot see it being much fun unless the bikes are complete/running and in your size.
I might aswell add, Im happy to grab bits (even parts/incomplete bikes) from Birmingham if you get me a train ticket to london. About £20 on Chiltern.

I was Dicki's first customer - a recent pulmonary embolus restricted travel for a while and D came galloping to the rescue to pick up a Ti Raleigh 531 from Brum for me. He's reported on his adventures in another post - the bike arrived safely and is now being stripped for further action.
Thanks again D - it was good to meet you - great service!

A train ticket would cost me £22.

What's the earliest you could go?

@ wvm
you might want to try scooterman for that one
i don't deliver people unfortunatly
although there is the old chesnut of putting yourself in a large DHL box and get yourself posted
might work
and would definately be quicker than me pedalling you all the way up here ! -

I will courier anything less than 1kg from my office to my house for £300.
Discounts for multiple items (up to a maximum of 2).
Is your Ebay seller trying to royally rip you off with postage costs ?
Are you suddenly unable to collect your ebay purchase due to unforseen cirumstances ?
Can't wait to get your grubby mits on that new Campy crank ?
Well fear not Dicki's Collection Service (TM) is now up and running.
I am willing to travel the country to collect bits and bobs for the payment of my transport costs. Train fares / bus fares / etc
Did a mission up to Birmingham to collect a bike for a very reasonable £30 this weekend. Club together and get two or three bits collected from whereever and share the costs.
European Missions also considered !!
Let me know if I can be of assistance
