Eh no.
you can't tell me if i find something difficult to read on account of it's appalling construction.if you find it hard to digest then that's OK.
digest was not the word i was looking for... the whole piece reads like it was reconstituted from the bowls of an aging ferret who was killed to bits by an anrgy midwife.
I know how much a chain breaker costs, my whole point was if it would be cheaper to buy one or have BLB do it for me.
^^^ really worth starting another dull thread over?

Firstly, i found it hard to read what you've written on account of how poorly you've constructed your sentences, in the style of 'he was all like, then i was all like total noob and shit' etc...
A chain breaker costs between 5-15 pounds, buy one & stfu. i use the same one for both 1/8 & 3/32 also.
Hipster Spice Route my friend... you can charge what you like and daddy will pay.
OK you can't read, that's fine. I know how much a chain breaker costs, therefore I was trying to find out if it would be cheaper to buy one or have BLB do it.
As for your "Hipster Spice Route" I have no fucking clue what that even means. I don't want to be pious, but I have a Master's in Engineering and I love bikes so I do really know what I'm doing. I think you are reading this whole thread in a very different context, but what do I know?

If you wanted to be pious surely you'd have a Masters in Theology?

Serious point; what you are not getting Storm is that there have been endless discussions about BLB and other shops' failings. As a new member I guess you can't be expected to know that though you'd get a good clue by using the search a bit.

You can tell your master's degree isn't in English, that's for damn sure.
If I ran a bike shop I'd be glad you weren't one of my customers.

stormalx is allowed to express his opinion.
and please, we already have one grammar policeman on this forum, we don't need any more.

I thought you were a fan of the police lpg? Or is that only when they beat women threatening them with a carton of fruit juice?

.
and everyone else, including you, is allowed to express their's. Your point, therefore, being what?

Given lpg's obvious disdain for grammar police, one is surprised to see him taking on the role of forum police.
Is it okay for me to post this or shall I be beaten?

All I really said was I think BLB are inconsiderate towards their customers, because personally if I want to run a radial wheel then I know far more about it than them. I don't really care what else you say. I also felt that when a customer said they "wanted risers" I knew exactly what that would entail, whereas the staff did not. I don't care at all, strike me down, whatever.

Horses for courses. I've always had good experiences in BLB AND Edwardes(which some people say is the worst bike shop in London), but then they are dealing with someone as lovely as me ;-)

I had a good experience except for the fact that they said it would cost 35 quid to break a chain. They were lovely otherwise, but then I laced the wheel myself so...

I've not really had a problem with BLB either, don't go in very often but the girl behind the counter was really friendly last time i went. they've always lent me their tools too.

I went in to BLB a couple of weeks back, I asked to look through their excellent range of unreasonably priced gases, but I was dragged into the back of the shop and brutally raped, I was then killed and set on fire, as if that was not enough the staff gathered around my charred carcass like feral apes and began to fight each other over what parts they would eat.
The whole thing put me off ever going there again.
