£77?! Fark!
Get them from on-one/planet-x and ride them until you find someone you can go in on a powder-coating session with. The Fuji comes with an ahead stem so that should minimise scratches when installing. Keep your old bars for when the Nittos go in for a `coating. I should add that I have no former experience in this matter. :)

These are mine. Nitto B125 36cm. Jaygee was having a look at these the other day. I wanted them to get through traffic easier. In fact I've got so accustomed to the width of these bars, I really can't stand the much wider bars on my Capo 5. I must say this about them though, they are STIFF, and painfully so without well padded gloves. Not recommended over long distances. Heavier also than aluminium bars.
I got mine from On-One/Planet-X; £33.oo (approx). Can't help with black ones though. -

Also bear in mind that track bars aren't that comfortable to ride on the tops, due to the way they curve forwards.
- 1 if you will be riding mostly on the drops i would say nothing smaller than 40. 38's are very small on top.
Did you mean mostly on the tops?
I generally ride mostly on drops so I'm definitely wanting 38s.

That sounds like a plan, it just seems like such a shame to paint over decent Chrome.

I'm going to have decent bar tape on there, and I always wear gloves so it should be OK. I'm not too worried about the weight, I still can't believe how light my bike is compared to my BMX. I don't want to feel an actual light bike because then I know I'll start wanting to lose weight.

Yeah i was mostly on the tops, so you'll be fine with 38's!

Lino bars are lovely but $100 from Chari & Co...

34cm are easy enough top get. they are uncomfortable to hold on top as the angle of drop from the little amount of straight is very acute.
Will give you sore wrists if you try to ride them without the drops. But they are amazingly narrow for drop bars, and that feels great in traffic.
36cm is still very narrow and more practical.

NurseHolliday, you may have got your drops already, but here's a few more, just in case you haven't....or if someone else is looking for narrow drops. These are all down to 38mm, or 36mm.

Thanks for those links, all those bars came in narrow sizes, some were black, but most had too large a clamp diameter. The last one's numbers came up right but I didn't really like the look of them. I've just ordered the Nitto B123 in 38cm from On One. Once they've arrived I'll see how I feel about spraying them black because I know they are the right dimensions.

So yeah, yet again I didn't think everything through, it reminds me of when I first got my bike and put a brake on... My Dirt Harry lever doesn't fit on the Nitto Bars...
-
• #41
put it ontop of the bartape (works ok with cloth tape) or get a shim. The two finger dirty harry comes with a shim.
A nice local bike store will probably have spare shims as normally they don't get used when building bikes up and they just end up in a box. i got one for free the other day in my lbs
-

I've got the original shim, it's too narrow to fit over the bar diameter. I tried stretching it but I'm feeling a bit feeble today. I just wrapped some duct tape around the bars to make a shim.
If I'm honest the chrome bars actually look a bit cack on my black and gray colour scheme... The size is perfect though. Once I get some black bartape on them I think they'll look much better.
