I've seen that... worse is where it auto-reserves the spot on the plane thinking you'll book it.

This just happened to me when using my airmiles. I went away, came back and it claimed there were no seats left on the plane I was looking at 10minutes ago. Tried again in an hour and suddenly there were seats.

Anyway, problem is solved, booked using airmiles London -> Zurich -> San Francisco . Total cost £270 for taxes. Ok and 85,000 airmiles for 1st class with Swiss :)
