its right place, I think
YouTube - Everything is ok - BANNED - Police, Camera, Action
snivelling middle-class whinger. after the shocking clips of citizens getting undeserved shit from the Man in the last few years Mr Logic from The Viz has step in to fuck it all up for everyone cos he ran a red light. What a nobend.

I don't like that video, either. The PC is perfectly within his rights (whatever you think about RLJing and fining people for it) to issue a Fixed Penalty Notice, as I think we can take it as read that the RLJer did commit that offence. That the officer doesn't know the correct procedure is a considerable weakness on his part; he should know it instead of issuing threats which he can't substantiate.
This means that by the RLJer obstructing him in this way, the officer very quickly loses all authority and actually becomes a kind of victim, in my view--much as he had started trying out the usual unpleasant moves like 'can you tell me ...', which isn't very nice and he clearly doesn't have the personal presence to carry this off successfully.
A lot of achieving the dominance that the RLJer achieves revolves around becoming the one asking the questions rather than giving any answers. It's a standard dialogue technique used by people who want to win arguments, e.g. in legal cross-examination, and it can very easily catch out people who aren't aware of it.
He is then goaded into attacking the RLJer. Of course he puts himself in the wrong and you can see how he gets progressively more rattled, but you can see how it happens. Yeah, nice showpiece, but meh, several times over.

ooh, I think this is going on with much more seriousness in the RLJ thread, Olly... maybe we should go there... ;)
-
• #3657
Given that cycle cops are rather slow cyclists when one stops you like that why not just ride off?
-
• #3658
They can radio for a nearby cop car to stop you?

I'm sure we'd be made to feel very welcome. :)

PC Stout resorting to violence tells it all to me.
Danny whoever, may act like a prick, but being a prick is not against the law, he asked
questions, didn't get answers.
I find it hilarious to say the least, the way some of you just immediately jump at him (Danny)
being that it's a RLJer, and he broke the law (I don't care if he's a prick).... when you also do it everyday.
Wherever, don't lie to yourselves, you do it, whether it is at 1am or 9am, it's still RLJing.
I'm not defending it, but wouldn't definitely defend the Police force to act like PC Stout.
Shame on them. -
• #3661
Who ever says here that has never RLJed is lying. Fact.
-
• #3662
what's RLJing got to do with it? it's what he did to get out of a ticket when he was collared for it that makes him a nob.
the copper going in to try and get the camera off after repeated requests is hardly 'violence' is it?
i generally hate coppers, a left over from having been undeservedly busted in my late teens, my car searched for drugs, spoken to in a 'clever' way etc, regardless of recent experiences... this guy's going about his dream to be a warrior for justice the wrong way if i'm empathising with a cop.

i think you have missed the point entirely

Knowing his other "work" (Danny), I'd say he's hardly doing anything else but pushing the exact buttons that Police pushes. I.e: Being talked at in a "clever" way. How many times has that happened to people here?...
And normally people just shut their gobs, afraid of some sort of penalty, right. He didn't.
That's how I see it.
Was he being or acting like a prick?... well maybe, but you need one to talk to another. -
• #3665
I'd believe the punhun if he said he'd never jumped a red.

no win here for me. he's picking totally the wrong targets in life to try and imagine himself as some sort of crusader. going around trying to cause shit isn't the same as demonstrating against it. he reminds me of a guy at Carnival who starts dancing round a copper waving a massive Camberwell Carrot in his face then feels hard done by when he gets busted for it. except this guy would feel proud, probably. a wannabe Donal McIntyre, cooking up his own situations to provoke a reaction to prove what we already know.

Not that pajamas.
I was referring to the "Everything is OK", done in Camden Lock.
He's using a megaphone, shouting some crap and when confronted by the poo-poo, that he can't be there,
no one can actually tell him why he can't be there, he just can't. And then, again, violence towards the guy from the poo-poo.
I'm hardly defending him here, but definitely not defending the Police attitude. -

i'll go off and have a look at the camden one and see if i change my mind.. but if you RLJ and get collared, try and sweet talk your way out of it by all means (and it's often not difficult, though some coppers are just going to bust you), but don't start acting like he's strung you up in a sack and given you a shoeing down the nick when he tries to have a cautionary word with you about it..
edit - they're losers, dude. i'll try and dig some proper shit out but this isn't the thread for it. they're just coming across as boorish idiots in that clip.

Lol... I have been, had to sweet talk my arse out of it... twice.
Lucky me, one of the times in islington, the copper asked my name and immediately realized I was Portuguese,
and he was married to a Portuguese lady.. I think he liked me.
No fine. -

I had to talk myself out of paedo charges. Silly racist cops. They stopped me somewhere around Epping for driving the car with a black boy on my back seat. They genuinely believed I'm driving him into the forest to rape him. Probably never heard about interracial marriages.
Anyway, can't complain - it did looked dodgy. -

True, but isn't that a means to an end?
I think they're pushing it on purpose, they're being idiots for a purpose.
Whereas it may not be my sort of entertainment, I can understand
why he's doing it. It being, nothing. Maybe acting like an idiot, a boring idiot
like you said. Only to prove that people, when confronted with "idiot" and "boring"
let themselves carried away by stupidity.
