Is that a real. Menu? Beats the old "Palace" from many years ago which had about 3 curries to choose from iirc.

Thanks :)

I'm probably missing summat obvious, but how is an Indian takeaway celebrating one of England's most outspoken white supremacists a win?

Jimi Hendrix was from Manchester?

Puns innit, everyone loves puns.

I missed the Tommy Robinson celebration part of that menu.
I thought the puns around the song names was a bit win, if not quite of epic proportion. I forgot we're not allowed to enjoy things for what they were anymore.
Edit: what Snotty said, with a bit of annoyance.

Well kept secret.

Erm ... sorry, I mean, I like the fact that it's vegan, but most of those 'puns' aren't even puns, just substitutions of words without much resemblance to the originals. 'Girlfriend in a Korma' is just tasteless. I'm also pretty sure I've heard or seen at least two of the genuine puns before somewhere.

So you've been, then?

Oh la la!

You must be so much fun at a party.

Probably more fun than Morrissey.

God, no. I'd probably silently judge your golliwog collection and visibly wince at your print of that tennis player scratching her arse. Might be for the best just not to invite me. I'm a mite that never goes out anyway.
btw, you'd never guess the colour of the guy who owns this place...

For the record, I don't align with Morrisey's views.
I do reckon a restaurant in a music venue, serving an Indian menu based on some of The Smiths song names isn't likely to propagate his right wing messages very far. I might be wrong. I'd even guess Morrisey may not approve given his views, but I'm in no position to ask him.
As for skin colour of restaurant owner vs country of origin of food served, where do you draw the line @kl? Is this acceptable?

Should I stop making the dhal recipe from Nigel Slater's book?

Tripe & Turnips on special occasions?

Epic win thread? Where?

Ooh, tripe and turnip greens please...
OK, we're back on track...

Any person of any colour can make and serve whatever food they please. But don't you reckon a white guy serving Indian food ought to think a little bit less about puns and a bit more about why linking it to the For Britain supporter who wrote Bengali in Platforms isn't a great look?

I'd have to ask him if he'd given it any thought, if I get to go eat there I will.
As an indie kid of the 90's who listened to & enjoyed the smiths back then, my first thoughts were back to those songs referenced by the menu, not the right wing views of Morrisey. I guess many others are looking at the menu in the same way.
Perhaps you could contact him and ask directly too? He's @naanthis on twitter so not hard to contact.

Separating the art from the artist is a divisive thing.
Agreeing that Morrissey is a cunt need not be. -

"I'm not a racist but..."
Yeah yeah.

Radicalisation often starts with the young and impressionable.
Me too, it looks good.
