mindblown.gif when you consider that 50 miles a day every day for 50 years still only gets you to ~913,125 (depending on leap days).

Bee pulls nail out of wall
-
• #14795
If you stick a nail in the nest of a solitary mason bee the bee will pull it back out. Don't think the bee just rocked up and dragged a nail out by chance, and happened to be in front of a video camera.

Yeah you're right, pathetic effort really. Let's see it remove an M10 rawl bolt, THEN we'd be talking.

Anyway I had a minor win today.
I have spent the week gazing wistfully at $50-$150 art books in New York galleries. On West Norwood high street this afternoon I saw a 2" thick Prado catalogue in the window of the RSPCA. TEN POUNDS. I was so jet lagged I could hardly pick it up. Staggered to the till with it giggling. Cashier thought I was nuts.

What so special with Prado?
-
• #14799
It's one of the best collections of paintings in the world, home to Las Meninas by Diego Velazquez among other things
To someone who studies painting, high quality reproductions are an extremely valuable resource.

Home to Goya's early works, royal commissions, tapestry cartoons and ultimately his 'Black Paintings, Velazquez's Las Meninas (as William says), Bosch's Garden of Earthly Delights, more Rubens's than it's reasonable to have including an insane amount of fresh as fuck studies on panel, El Grecos, Zurberans and a shit load of other awesomeness. It's one of the most incredible museums in the world and for my money it chases the National and the louvre round the playground.... and that big ol catalogue? I reckon that cost me about 60 Euros when I lugged it back from Madrid back in the day. So definite win.
Buming man
