How does the "Steerer lock: Tubular plunger lock brazed onto head tube inserts into reinforced hole in the steerer" work on the di2 dynamo bike?

I assume there's a hole in the steerer tube of the fork. When the lock is pushed in and locked a short pole goes from the lock through that hole thus preventing turning of the forks.
