Just like many moons ago when I swore I'd never be seen dead in lycra..
-

It's just because hippy is, like, rad.

Haha I certainly test some things to destruction ;). I'm up for testing anything apart from clipless pedals and the accompanying shoes, the only cycling products I will never use lol.
Tell us why. In the form of a review of your experiences of using them.

Would you like to give your reasons for this decision? Perhaps in the form of a review of your experience of them...
Around the 80k mark in Australian heat an amazing transformation occurs for those cyclists who shun lycra in favour of "undies" or "boxers".
The tender skin around the inner thigh/groin area of a cyclist transforms from skin to "bloody pulp".
Thus, the need for lycra was created.

I meant Mad Jimmy, not hippy. If only pajamas could have subbed that...

It almost sounds as if you're not interested in the details of hippy's experiences of cycling without lycra in Australia. Strange.

I can save you some of the chaffing scrapings next time I'm home..

i'm in, i have been using a linnel £30 messenger bag for nearly 5 months and i will be writing a review of it next week. I think peopel will be quite shocked by what you can get for £30.

looks surprisingly good for £30

I've tried deep-fried chook before, but thanks...

Oh, by the way, pun spotting FAIL. Both of you.
And don't you dare claim it's because you've been keeping an embarrassed silence.

I think you need to work on your literary style if you're going to be a reviewing sensation...

A site that's done this really well, IMO is http://www.backpackgeartest.org/. They're thorough, informed, unbiased, and the site has a really good, simple design and a nice RESTish URL scheme.
I particularly like that "Initial impressions -> Field test -> Extended field test" scheme for testing durability.
I'm happy to do reviews. I can spell both "vertically compliant" and "horizontally stiff", which makes me more qualified than the comic.

I'd be interested in helping out. Don't tell anyone but many moons ago I had a short lived (it lasted two editions!) column in Cycling Plus magazine.

It would be interesting to get riders views on a product from different ends of the spectrum . .
so for example Hippy /Jonny/ Velocio testing something for long haul rides/commuting, Obgarist/doggybolloks or some polenger for polo, and someone else for tricks (OOL and his mink coat? ;)i dont know who the kings of freestyling are on here?) and seeing how the same bike rates at the different riding stlyes
Then putting something to a forum poll to get a verdict looks wise?

Yeah, because forum polls are so worthwhile.
-
• #74
Let's have a poll to decide the worthiness of forum polls!
-
• #75
I think we need to poll the possibility of having said poll to determine necessity of actual poll - can i have a poll on this?
Quoting this for posterity.
Trust me, James, you will. :)
