  • Does it have to be in London? Free camp out in a forest somewhere.

  • Get a map and star gaze.

  • Volunteer at a soup kitchen.

  • Walk London's sites for a different perspective at night.

  • Tempting Lil, but I'm after some sort of event/gallery/performance whatever - that just happens to be in the middle of the night.

  • Offer yourself up for sexual services around soho and make some cash.

  • Walk London's sites for a different perspective at night.

That sounds a little bit more like it - but I'm curious if there are any known things like this - be they regular or otherwise that ever happen - i know for example at the John Soane museum place they do candlelit tours of the building..

  • That last link is excellent - top work.

  • Thanks. My secretary will forward the invoice to your current business address.

  • And I'll have my secretary forward a photograph of my dactylion to your secretary.

  • My secretary will be displeased and will use our image recognition technology to locate you (from a reflection of a dirty chicken store in your fingernail) and inform our debt collection agency of your location and the nature of the debt (interest at 8000% per day). Swift flying monkey justice will be served.

  • Jesus... Do you work for Natwest?

  • I thought Jesus was a carpenter..

  • Jesus was a jew.

  • I thought Jesus was Jaygee?

  • I though(t) Jebus was Jesus...

  • Shut it, you lot: Back on topic - anyone ever heard of Tinsel Town in Farringdon?
I saw 24 hour milkshakes and pancakes and I thought "Score." but I'm slightly sceptical that it has a name like "Tinsel Town" and it could be one of the most grotesque experiences of my life. A bit like "The Ice Creamists" in Selfridges the other week...
There was a Prince tribute band, Cinderella was serving drinks and the general "look" the bar staff and ice cream preppers were forced into was communism meets early 90s Vogue magazine front covers. All run by a rather slimy looking chap who greeted us at the door and asked if we had had a good time. His eyes looked like this.

  • Tinsel Town was mentioned in the diner thread ages ago. I've yet to visit.

  • We have a diner thread? Excellent.

  • I think it was this non-alcoholic ride thread..

    Fucking freaks.

  • It is bloody well is not in the diner thread!

However it is in the non-alcoholic drinks in London thread.

So I can be forgiven for having that thread on ignore.

  • jinx.

  • Tinsel Town is a bit weird. Good food, good milkshakes, good desserts, expensive, an unhealthy obsession with famous people, and a lot of drunk people.
