Not supposed to be a reference to any particular band, just thought the idea of a black metal dude having fun ie suffering on a bike was kinda funny.

So we can't make any now because someone else is? Hmm... that's not the idea of the competition, the idea is we get to make them and therefore we get to cover the servers £3k+ annual costs without having to splatter the whole site with adverts and aggressively ask/force people to donate/pay.

And if we can still make it anyway... what market is going to be left if someone is putting them into production sooner, making them cheaper (because they're not having to put profits into a huge website) and basically selling to the very people that we hope to sell to.

I'm glad the shirts are being made, but it does undermine the very reason for us putting the time and effort and creating a market to sell them here, whilst it additionally does nothing to help pay for the servers that run this.

Colour me miffed. It's your design so you can do what you want, but why put it up here if you didn't want to help out the site? I like both of you (skulls and julio) but it's not helping out the forum and that's pretty much the exclusive point in doing this whole thing. It will cost me and others greatly in time to make all of this work, but the reward for this is securing an income stream that covers the hosting costs for maybe a year. That's why this thread exists. It's why we're doing it.

Good work matt, but can you do it in three colour and put 16t cog in place of the crayon.

Right now I have a great idea for a 48t Brainring design and am trying to do something in MS paint. This doesn't look good though.

my bad. I should have offered it to julio for her label straight off but it didn't occur to me until she mentioned it. It really suits her style. Im gonna do a forum related design anyway. Someone suggested a manga style design. I think that would be more of a money maker tee? We do appriciate the site seriously but I dont think it really matters, Matts design will probly win when the votes are in.

I didn't mean to be in any way and Skulls and I both thought that it wasn't gonna be the winner of this comp but that it would suit Hell Yeah very much.
Plus, he needed the money and I paid him for it.
I should point out that the design wasnt actually done specifically for this competition but was something he already had so I didnt steal a LGFSS specific design. Not that that makes it better.

As said in PM, no problem at all. I was taken aback to see it happen, though obv' it wasn't intentional so I'm fine.

And it's not a competition in terms of only one gets made... we'll make all that justify the production costs for that shirt. Basically we'll establish pre-sale interest and make that many... because if we're fund-raising the thing we can't have is tons of excess stock as that means there is actually less profit overall. And we are fundraising, so it's not a huge multi-run commercial thing... whatever can turn a profit to raise money will be made... though the competitive angle is that clearly someone designs something is the most popular.

Skulls has offered to take it out of the competition, which is pretty much the only thing that could've happened now. So it's a non-issue now.
