Thanks for greasy/pip, for organising, fiddy for being fiddy, katt for htfu through knee problems, adam for riding that big ass mountain bike through it all.

This ride is "superawesome™" will be doing it next year hopefully with a larger forum presence and a more piratey appearance. Pirate cycling caps for the win...

Lovely hooking up with Jonny, shoots, hester, clintsmoker, larissa?, and the brighton crew, great times, drinking, jokes, and a 100k undulating roll around the isle of wight. I have my certificate and stamped checkpoint cards and they will be taking pride of place on my kitchen wall..

Good weather, good company and a good ride, what could be better.

Roll on the long rides of the summer, time to get out into the beautiful english countryside...

Aw man I look like a goon*! Nice photos though.
There were a hell of a lot of really nice bikes out yesterday, especially that old boy we were talking to who was on his youngest bike at 25 years, had another 8 bikes in the garage!

    • It is not possible to wear lycra without looking like a goon.

yeah theres an attitude that respects those guys that have been doing this for years, and they are still spinning well late into their 60;s and 70;s,I share it too, wonder what will the world be like when we are 70? 2050, new 2009 bikes will be retro then, quick buy one, box it and make a shed load of money!

  • I said this yesterday but I sure hope I'm as fit as those guys when I'm their age. He was almost 70 if I remember correctly!

    +1 to him!

  • sounds like fun.. pics please!
