Cheers, that's good advice. Time to pick up some more chainrings/cogs then it seems.

90" ftw.
Monday isn't training.
Monday is serious business.
I train for Monday. -

First rule of Monday nights - don't listen to gaz... Unless he offers to buy you a pint in the pub after.

I wish I could offer advice, I pretty much rode a 48x14 for every training session and race last year.
Man I'm gonna miss hhv this year :(

Just go easy on me after your stint abroad ;)

Got my training accreditation session on Saturday. Hoping it all goes smoothly then I'll be there on Monday if the weather is good! Looking forward to getting back into racing this season :+)

Got my accreditation yesterday by accident. They were running the session immediately after the students sesh, so I stayed on. Sorted. Hope to see you guys on some mondays.

^ Nice one. Should swing by on Saturdays as well...

• #1638
I'll probably be riding the sprint events so will cheer you on from my deck chair :)

If it's under 2km, it's too short for me ;)

Passed my training accred last night. See you tomorrow!

Legs are burning from this past week, not sure how much use I will be tomorrow if I swing by.
-
• #1642
Last minute in for tonight, riding straight from work though.
-
• #1643
I'd love to go, wonder if I can swing it...
-
• #1644
Had planned to come tonight. I'm still knackered though so it's pretty unlikely.

Stinking cold. Can't risk a snot trail up the banking. Maybe next week.

That was a friendly, chatty evening! Just over 65 miles including there and back.
Now for Beer and Pizza nomnom -

Great first session for me. Really enjoyed the sprint drills as that's what I'm most into. Paceline was horrific after the sprint efforts though.
-
• #1648
Never go balls out for them - otherwise the rest of the session is horrendous. It's bad enough doing 5-6 sprint efforts without a proper rest between them in the first place.

What doesn't kill ya only makes you stronger ;)
I've been sick as a small hospital the night after sprint drills before.

Also enjoyed my first Monday night at Herne Hill. Legs feeling it a bit now though!
^ Grinder.
Gearing choice is personal, but it's generally a good idea to keep it lower for training as you can develop some leg speed - which is what you actually need in race. It's training after all.
