  • Yes I was and I saw you on Saturday too. Gloves and a properly fitting hemet ftw my friend. What's it like riding a disc in the wind? Must be half amazing, half hellish. Makes an awesome noise too.

  • Yeh same helmet since i was like 10.
Its really nice, I am 90kg so don't really feel the buffeting. I wish I could hear it when I am riding grrrrr

  • On today? Hasn't stopped raining all day.

  • Well it's dry in sw19 and has been for last hour or so, just got track bike out of the shed so that'll be the kiss of death then.

  • Looks ok from my house.

  • as if by magic;

Monday training is on! Remember to take in to account our new track's wet weather capabilities - we can't always tweets http://www.hernehillvelodrome.com/sessions_and_training/wet_weather_policy/

  • Oh balls - was raining a lot when I left work so I decided session wouldn't be on and did a rollers session at home instead! Must have more faith!!!

  • Is Monday night training on?

  • Site :
"This year we will be aiming to run the session on bank holidays to try and keep consistant sessions. We will take a view on rider turnout, and coach availability. Check our twitter page for updates nearer the time. "

  • No tweets about today. Anyone else going down?

  • It is on their calendar for today...

  • No tweets about today. Anyone else going down?

Planning to, weather looks ok and nothing on twitter re not being run so i'll chance it

  • I was at HH this afternoon and this eve's session is on.

  • glad i went down. that was an awesome session :)

  • Are you now going to come and ride the TL on Wednesday?

  • i have only done 1 saturday basic and 2 monday race training sessions... might give it a few more weeks before i venture in to racing...

i also need to get a racing license.

were you down yesterday colin? what were you wearing/riding?

  • I was there, lurking in the darkest corners. I was on my Moda. I hadn't recovered from Saturday's racing, so saved my effort to the 500m match sprint in the A's and a couple of flying 200m efforts whilst you were doing the 10km/15km scratch. Good thing is l sold my old Harry Quinn frame to a buyer.

  • It's the monday night weather gamble; not raining atm in sw19, nothing on twitter yet, altough met office forecast looks pretty crap.

  • It's off tonight.

  • My club had a session last night and we kept riding in the proper rain, it was great, although you couldn't get closer than about 1m to the rider in front of you because of the spray.
Is the weather policy different for private bookings and public sessions?

  • The final decision rests with the coach. If a coach is not completely happy that the track is safe to ride then they would cancel the session. The content of yesterdays session meant it was safe to ride in the wet - race training not so good.

  • thought so- there weren't very many of us and we weren't really going any sorta speed!
It was a really good session though, thanks!

  • Great to return back to the track (with the new bike), though a little tight for time to get to HH from work, but nevertheless was great race training and good to see some old faces back there!

  • i had an awesome time, glad that i didn't stay on the park and went down to HH

  • Can someone confirm the times of Monday night training please.

Says 7pm but warm up from 6, but then it's getting dark half 8 ish now.
