They look awesome! :o

Nice!

Look good! I got a pair of dyad's because i wanted a wider rim but they aren't as deep as the deep-v's. Look's like these could be what i was after
-
• #5
basically a deeper version of the dyads. weird as you can run a 700x38 on a normal deep v?
-
• #6
2mm deeper. 5mm wider.

Dependent on the tire though.
I know 28mm cheap kenda's will pop off, so will marathons.

yep, my rubber popped off the back rim twice this weekend.

^filth.
-
• #10
we'll see when i eventually get the dyads
-
• #11
we'll see what?
-
• #12
if they are better for holding bigger tyres or are different strength wise to deep v's.
-
• #13
they are wider so hold bigger tyres and have more sideways strength, no?
-
• #14
I'd love a 100mm rim.
-
• #15
true dt, but i wonder if there is critical point when you become too wide? deep v could be stronger as they are more compact???
-
• #16
Depends how they are horizontally re-inforced between the 2 verticals.

I hasn't played polo yet, but is weight important in polo?

That actually made me smile. :)
No, weight is not important in polo. Durability is.

hence my big reluctance to go away from deep v's, but 32h aren't cutting the mustard
-
• #21
my polo deep v's (in orange) are chipped to buggery, paint flaking off all over place, is it right that they do them anodized aswell?

But V's have always been available in ...36, 40 and 48h. Shops don't usually carry 40 and 48 but surely 36h are around? I have a set I'm building as soon as spokes arrive.
-
• #23
well the last hubs should've been 36, but there was a stuff up. anyhoo, 48h dyads and 48 hubs on the way.
-
• #24
Out of interest, what 48H hubs are you going for Dale?
-
• #25
profile double fixed then build with plain guage spokes, 4 cross
i dont play polo.... no polo no talk blah blah blah whatever.
