  • I've emailed the organisers, so hopefully an explanation will present itself.

It doesn't seem fair, but then a first come internet registration will never please everyone, people will still miss out. Except those pre-registered of course :)

  • ok I've been in touch with Matt and apparently something went wrong. Fair enough.

I would recommend emailing him if you want to know what's happening. His email is above.

  • Hi Oxford .We're sending a team your way next month, but i'm gonna be away unfortunately so not sure how many yet. Hope to play you guys this summer at some point.

  • ah bless him it must be a bit of a nightmare....

  • For sure ....It's a unenviable task . Can't wait for August 1st anyway.

  • It's open now ,33 places left too!

  • sorry dudes, little glitch in some last minute code additions, and registration shut itself at 3 teams by mistake.

Over half of the 40 spots are now taken.

  • actual status?

  • actual status?

No teams from Berlin registered yet.

  • So we were talking at Mitch last night after a good evening of POLO when it became clear that the average level has become really high... and we were thinking how frustrating it is going to be for the good London teams that don't get selected (could be any team now really), to watch the Euros where some beginner teams from Rouen or else will be competing..

    just a rant

  • Fingers crossed there'll be space for a few more London teams. You're right Yorgo. I reckon we have got at least 8 teams who could compete at a very high standard.

  • 39 teams alreday register :(

  • there won't be any extra spaces for london teams, 40 are registered.

  • I eat my words then...

  • sucks

  • shit that is outrageous. restart the registration. you guys have to play surely!

  • 4 teams was a stupid idea. Sounded good in theory, but now in practice...

    Bring on the BFF!

  • take a team away from the cities playing at the lowest standard (i accept that may include manchester but so be it). the tourney holders should always have the biggest representation imo.

  • rouen has 3 teams.

  • on the other hand when you watch the olympics there is always a bunch of crappy athletes from obscure countries...

  • Who watches the Olympics?

  • yorgo, show us your lo-pro.

  • sorry, in-joke.

  • true half the fun is watching them flounder. but the holders always get automatic qualification in world cup etc.

I bitched hard enough about this from the start and no one really listened. I'm unhappy that I've been vindicated but it was always a fucking stupid idea.
