  • speaking of April Fool, this is what I saw in The Times newspaper;

    apparently BMW has been doing that for years.

  • The Bike Show ran a special edition podcast that made me sick to the stomach despite knowing all along that it was an April Fool's joke. Listen to it to find out why. The Guardian did something on the paper being published exclusively on Twitter from the 1st April. The BBC did a spoof piece announcing that Top Gear was due to become a cycling, walking, and public transport programme (Clarkson: 'I suppose you could call it a bit of a climb-down')--that was my favourite, natch. The Evening Standard didn't do an April Fool's joke but instead did a piece on April Fool's jokes by other newspapers.

  • That's because, according to my life in the uk test, you can only play April fools jokes until noon. By it's nature the evening standard is out of the running.

    I enjoyed doing the bike show bit, sorry to make you unwell. Was it talking about german leather interiors?

  • bmw usually do some interesting ones

    Ha! I didn't know that. It's probably the same in Germany but I never caught on.

    No, it was just hearing stalwarts of cycling in London pretend to have moved away from cycling. Even though I knew it was a joke all along, I just had a massive humour fail. It was like a paranoid nightmare being triggered. Too close for comfort. :<

    the funny thing was, I had to concentrate quite hard not to accidently say bmx instead

  • Someone stole from my account on april fools, all of £300. Was it a joke ? if so can i have it back please.

  • :)

  • Good one in The Sun today claiming that together with Heston Blumenthal they had developed a tasty newspaper ink. To the right of the column was a big white square with an arrow pointing to it saying "lick here"...
