Unfortunately I didn't get that code in time... oh well, thanks for the thought. Ordered and hopefully on it's way soon.

It only saved a pound or so so no great loss. Hopefully it will be an ok bit of kit, I'll be testing it out with my first wheel build next week.

The Park is the only way to go. Buy it from Jenson USA for £120 quid and the tilting stand for another £15.

Just ordered one of these...
Got it for the same price as one of the those Tacx clamp-on jobbies, which look to me like they're made of cheese. I think I like the single arm approach, but will reserve judgement for when I actually recieve it. It'll certainly be great for lacing. I'm hoping the get a Ultimate workstand so this seemed like a logical choice. I'll post a mini review when I get a chance to use it.PS: Its red so builds faster wheels. Fact!

Bump...
Birthday money means I can finally invest in a truing stand.
The max I can spend is £80 as I also want to buy a workstand.
So these are the options I've found:
- Park TS8 - £54
M Wave - £50
See previous posts
Minoura Junior - £47
Ultimate - £68
see previous posts
Minora Pro - £68
... any feedback from owners of the above would be great.
I'm tempted by the Park, but that's based purely on rep. I'm not sure about only having the one arm - which is why I'm not sure about the Ultimate. Plus the Park doesn't look that stable.
I've used the Minora Pro and its good, altho it has lots of plastic and its expensive.
Also does anyone know what tax from the states comes out at?

My reasons for buying a Wheel Truing stand by Hugo7...
- I finally have the money and want to;
- ...oh actually I don't need any others!
...anyway... does anyone have any experience of wheel truing stands?
Does a stand that only trues from one side as it were (ie Park, Ultimate) work as well?
Any other pointers / things to look out for?
Ans. on a post card.
Cheers.
