  • I also spotted her on Borough High St. We should set a trap.

Andy - you and Scooby will her to chase you. Get her to follow you through the roundabout and jump onto the trampoline. Velma and Daphne will set off the fireworks to scare her down this greased ramp before triggering the net and starting the washing machine....

  • But at what time..?

  • You're going to need bait, not sure what would bring a banshee in.

This is going to need some research.

  • I'm thinking hard on it Chris.

She vented spleen at cars and peds generally in her vicinity. Not tricky to arrange, but no different to the status quo London-wide. This is the problem of The Banshee.

  • I've only seen her once in the morning about 8ish on Creek Road but few time in the evening, between 18:30-19:00 at a guess around the same area and heading east out of Greenwich.

  • But how old is she? I'm picturing a mad woman in her forties with a basket full of cats and food tins that she hurls at hapless passers by who get in her way.

  • I'd say she's in her late twenties/early thirties.

  • I'd go thirties too, but I am never too keen on looking at her face when passing in case she kills me.

  • I think there may be 2 AFL dudes... there is one I see cycling on Battersea Rise, hot pants etc but like an Old School helmet, like some 'Remember the Titans' reject

  • Great thread peeps. Not sure how I missed it.

Also, if it is the will of the forum, I will Eiffel Tower the banshee, if Rik is keen.

  • I saw a bloke cycling along that cycle path which runs from the Tower of London to Limehouse, wearing a full motorbike helmet, and was reminded of the AFL bloke.

One and the same, he lives in battersea, works by tower hill tube.

Apricot danish, they go fucking mental for them. Or, lost souls.

  • Did someone say bait???

crosses out 'do a skid' and writes 'I hate screaming wumen on bikes' in dirt on back doors

  • i have seen the screaming lady, i thought i had cut her up or something, she is mental, i have seen her twice, just before elephant and castle, i might hav a chat next time, see wots wrong with her

  • Apricot danish

I had a cherry danish yesterday. Fucking top notch pastry.

  • I just read this whole thread, bloody hilarious!

  • My girlfriend was cycling up through Blackheath village at the weekend and hates holding up the cars but because she had all the shopping from the farmers market (she da one wiv paniers) it was weighing her down. So heaving up the slight incline at car speed, she let out a long gutteral shout from all the effort (she's not been riding all winter) and was immediately a bit worried she might get mistaken for The Banshee.

So if you see an average-looking woman making shouty noises on her bike, check if you're on an incline and look out for the massive psychedelic patterned pink paniers (on the bike, not the woman). If she's got them then it's my missus not The Banshee. She's also not a psychopath either, so they should be easy to tell apart.

  • 'average looking woman' - that's what my old man used to say to me 'get yourself an average looking woman, she'll be grateful and other blokes won't try and nick her'

  • 'average looking woman' - that's what my old man used to say to me 'get yourself an average looking woman, she'll be grateful and other blokes won't try and nick her'

an old girlfriend of mine's dad proposed to his wife (and included this information in the proposal) "because she's a good all-rounder".

    sweet.

  • I've done it.

    I've tracked and caught her.

    Pics to follow.

  • Hurrah! But did you take one for the team?

  • I'm so excited*!

*probably will be a massive anti-climax as there will be nothing to see.

I've been following this thread closely for a while waiting for just this. Can't wait to see the photos.
