hi ben. i think you have to pay a little extra to race on a provisional. i went for silver as i think it covers you on insurance for riding to and from races..
how did everyone get on last night? where's the race report!? anyone get any points?
-
• #103
think silver is the best option.
http://www.britishcycling.org.uk/web/site/BC/bcf/20081007_bc_membership.aspandy, no points... gotta figure out this track thing - lesson one: being at the rear of the bunch is not good for winning races - maybe with a little more support from our friends we'll get some next time...
think i sprained my diaphragm... breathing is painful

ok thanks andy - i'm a fully paid up racer now. It looked pretty tough out there yesterday but I think Kai just pipped Lee Povey at the line for full points on the first 10 lap scratch?
-
• #105
hahaha. hang on in there k, it will get less painful... you need to learn your limits, and get some tactics - so you can make the most effective use of your effort. learn who to mark and watch, who to go with and who to let go... we need some team tactics going on!
-
• #106
yeah i think i would need team tactics to get anywhere! I'm severely tempted for next week
Nice to meet ya Ben as well

Hi Ben, good to see you on here. Last night was excellent, really enjoyed it.
Kai did ace, really well. I expect the lungs are burning today. Things I learnt: don't get boxed in on sprint laps, f**ks your chances. Start quick and get first half of the pack or your wasting energy. Also need to work out why that muscle in my lower back gave out on the last distance race, really painful.
Cat 4 for life!

My legs are hurting today!! 10 laps seems such a long way...
Paul that muscle may have been down to nervous tension and then local fatigue.

Cheers for that Lee. Hope it doesn't happen again! Its right down the bottom left of my back. Above the glutes. Probably need to watch how I'm arching my back.

i can't race again this week chaps. work commitments again. next week for sure though. best not be raining when i eventually get round to racing...
-
• #112
shiiitttee. I'm out as well. IoW cold still in full effect. Don't want to mucus it up on the track. May come down to watch if anyone is racing?
the Wednesday itch ain't gonna get scratched this week!
-
• #113
did myself some damage on the way home from the pub last night, might take a few days until i can walk properly again (soft tissue damge to the phalanges after jumping over a gate, same old story)... if i was any better i would race with one foot, but i am not...
-
• #114
well i was thinking about racing but haven't been doing any miles on the bike and still not feeling 100% - the lack of support from you guys on the track is the final excuse I need!
Might go for a look if it doesn't start raining.. -
• #115
yeah the weather does look a bit ropey, only two more weeks and and the marathon will be gone and I can race and get beaten!
-
• #116
you are all a bunch of pussy's!
-
• #117
next week, out in force. honest.
-
• #118

-
• #120
let's hope so, really looking forward to it!
-
• #121
hey guys,
gonna have to give tonight a miss. did something to my achilles shifting boxes over the weekend and had a light ride yesterday that's made it worse.

good luck andy on your first race!

ouch, 20 laps! I'm not around tonight *un*fortunately.
was down there earlier though, beautiful day to race.
hi chaps, Ben here. Finally worked out how to get onto this thing. Good track night last night. Do you need a full racing license to race down there or will a provisional do? About to join the BC.
