iOs & iOs Apps (inc iPhone, iPad, iPod, iBrick)

So I'm in Slovenia and there's WiFi in the lobby, but the iPhone can't get it. Says I'm not online. Have turned off cellular data, 3G etc to stop roaming charges. Is there anything I can try other than a hard reset, which I've just done to no avail?

Need to get online and catch up with stuff. Currently using lobby comp in ten minute, long awaited bursts.

Help much appreciated.

is wifi on in your settings?

i know the iphone has pretty poor wifi reception so worth finding out where the antenna is and hang out in front of it

also, turning on/off the wifi makes it scan again for networks

If the SSID (network name) is written down somewhere just enter that under 'Other Networks' (or whatever it's called).

it is slower. but not slow enough to make me change the OS back. i guess if i was a high flying executive who billed by the second it could be a productivity issue but then if i was a HFE* i would have an iphone4 so it's not a valid point.

Gah I hate OS 4.0, now my iPhone which has been fine for the last year and a half end up being stupidly slow.

It's ok ed, you're not a high flying executive billing by the second so you can live with abysmal performance.
