Oh I will.
It's a fuck sight harder than I thought. Downgrading to 3.1.2 is a bitch.

Whats it jailbroken with, and what OS is it running?
(to find out the OS plug it in, or go to Settings > General > About)
-
• #509
jailbroken using blackra1n
version 3.1.2 (if thats what your asking?) -
• #511
yer,
and... well... i found the iphone.
so its not really my place to go to O2, where i dont think ill get a good reception. its ok though, i was wondering if anyone had a quick fix
im running it on pay as you go, now
so ill just use it like an ipod touch, just with 3G enabled -
• #512
That's ok, you can just say you bought it off ebay or whatever. Nothing wrong with that, O2 still have to provide you with service and support. The fact that you might not be well received at O2 is probably because they're a bunch of spanners.

My experiences of Blackrain are pretty poor. All friends and relatives who have contacted me asking for help with their iPhone have jailbroken/unlocked using Blackrain and it's fucked up.
I always follow the iClarified blog when unlocking and jailbreaking my iPhone. They generally do a step by step using PwngeTool or QuickPwn.

Nurse, has anyone properly broken OS 3.1.3 yet, d'ya know?
As Murtle said, it can be done, check iClarified. Did it for my sister while she was visiting from NY.

Interesting what you say about Blackra1n, you're totally right. I had to downgrade to 3.1.2 before I could get it to work. It ran for a few hours then bugged out and Cydia wouldn't launch. I'm rebreaking it now. All this to play a few shit games and customise the dock. Sheesh.

Say you were giving your iphone to some on you don't like. Is there anyway of fucking it up. Apart from emailing "I finger kids" to the police while quoting the imie number
-
• #520
You do finger kids. So they'd be right.
-
• #521
They can't do shit. Even if the person who lost the iPhone that you acquired has reported it to Apple, the shops are never gonna know. I work in one. I wouldn't have a clue. You could've stolen it off Steve Jobs for all I know.
-
• #522
I didn't say it was a lie. Just asking for more suggestions. As this forum has a boostful collection of sickos
-
• #523
once an iphone has been reported lost it gets blacklisted. once black listed the only way to make calls is to change the imei number (very illegal) or to leave the country, where it will no longer be listed.
this doesnt mean you cant jailbreak, sod round and use skype to make your calls instead, but it a massive pain in the arse.
-
• #524
should you not just return it to lost and found or something, instead of using something that doesn't belong to you?
-
• #525
Lost and found? An unmarked iPhone. With no data on it? I can't see that being returned somehow
redsn0w
3.1.2
then updated worked ok
