Well after having to use every flavour of iPhone daily in my job for the last 2 months I've caved in and bought an iPhone 4 to upgrade my 3G.

Apple are offering 0% finance for 6 months on their uk online store so i'm going with that and paying £100 a month for a 32GB.

Can't wait to get my hands on it, mostly for the beautiful camera and HD video capabilities (also it being a fuckton faster than my current iPhone is a welcome addition).

Hoping to get a Hague stedicam for christmas too so I can do some lovely smooth recording with it (they do an iPhone 4 specific one).

I'm running 4.2 Beta2 on my iPad right now. It makes so much sense (multitasking!).

I'm not sure if I keep it and wait until November for The official GM release or downgrade to 3.2.2 when the Greenpois0n is available tomorrow and jailbreak it to instal Cydia.

Apparently Shatter exploit (and based on it Greenpois0n toolkit) will pwn all The decided for life until Apple adjusts thehardware with new models.

my iphone was purchased from t-mobile before they officially sold them, they used a third party dealer to supply the phone even though i paid for the phone through my direct debit.
they sourced them from around europe and re-sold them.
the box was sealed and i had a separate printed sheet of all the settings i had to enter to get the phone and 3g internet to work.

does this mean the phone was supplied unlocked?
i don't have another network micro sim to check it.

if it's unlocked does it have more value? i'm thinking of selling and upgrading to a 4.

Did some search, most of them are old article, and the recommendation is still the sim card.

I found one suggesting to bring it to a phone shop and ask to borrow their 'spare' sim card to test out phone.

i think it's unlocked because reports say that t-mobile were sourcing unlocked phones from europe to sell to people wanting to leave. i'll take it to a shop to double check.

Shatter exploit wasn't disclosed today and will wait until Apple releases new generation of iPhones/iPods and iPads.

It's Limera1n to jailbreak for now (Windows only at the moment).

i was approved for the finance over the phone with apple but am yet to hear from Barclays who are doing the 0% loan, been 2 days and not got the email from them

i haven't borrowed any money for years, have a clean saving/banking record and never borrow on CC's wondered if this is holding things up?

(i.e if you never borrow they don't give you credit)

I got the barclays email pretty much straight away with a pdf to print, sign, and send off to them.
Got a confirmation of that a couple day after from apple that my order would be fulfilled.
And had a dispatch email saying 27th for my iPhone.
Give apple a ring, they are usually quite useful over the phone....

they had the wrong email address for the Barclays part of the order but the correct one for the apple part of the order.

Android and even someone with your limited technical abilities would be able to use it in its stock form, iClone. ;)

i prefer the easy integrated option.
i'm mainly upgrading for the camera and the battery life and because i'm selling the 3g while it still has some value (i'm still mid contract)
