I've been using my old Garmin Etrex yellow for recording routes lately, but finding that it's somehow interfering with my bike computer, which is tres annoying.
As for iPhone, I downloaded the Navigon app to try out the turn by turn routing on the 3GS the other day but reckon I'm gonna need an armband or a handlebar mount as it won't' keep a signal in the jersey pocket.

Was wondering if any body has bought the new case with battery built in for the iPhone?, was thinking about getting one, does anybody have a review of it?

Yeah, will need to see how this aspect goes.
Turning off wifi and 3g will help and I'm planning to use the audio cues rather than on-screen display.

the iPhone GPS is brilliantly useful if your route took no more than 29 minutes.

Been thinking about getting an iPhone but don't know if it fits in with my hardline hipster image. Is there an app for working out how slack your chain is?

So, I spilled a tiny drop of oil from a forkful of delicious chorizo into the earpiece speaker of my iPhone. Now it is terribly quiet.
Anyone had any problem like this and come up with an ingenious, cheap and completely effective fix?
Yours laughably-optimistically,

Better if you put the phone or whatever it is in question in a bag of rice overnight, in my experience.

Put chorizo marinated phone in rice, gradually add chicken stock until fully absorbed, throw in some chicken, rabbit, squid, prawns and mussels. iPaella.
