I have joined the Iphone fraternity, and I want to get some good Apps, particularly one for logging journeys and how many miles I've ridden.
Know of any, please enlighten me... -

Pinball Dreams. It's got nothing to do with cycling, but if you ever had a Commodore Amiga, it's like going back in time.

Yes, but it's tangled up in a big ball. Does it connect in with one of these long needles?

it does, the cable tidy you need was going on a freecycle here earlier on.. it might still be available?

i had this on when i went for a long ride couple of sundays ago. takes up sooo much juice. battery was full when i left the house, 3hr45mins later, it was in the red. other than that, it's easy to use and route goes straight onto the website.

Yeah. Gave up on that lark. Running any app for more than a few minutes kills the battery.

Shazam is a killer! Hold the phone to a speaker, it listens to the song and returns the name. Can get some pretty obscure stuff, and links direct to itunes purchasing.
Ocarina is cute, and Quadcam makes the shitty camera bearable

if you like reading books, especially old classic one, check out Classics (couple of quid).
for converting stuff, such as currency, length, weight, etc., check out Units (free).
for simple card games, check out Sol Free (free, obviously).
for general information, check out Wikipanion (free).
hope this help.

Actually the most useful for me has been this one....
The iPhone contact is excellent, I know the unit is expensive, but it's the best tariff I have ever had.
£35 for 500 text and 600 minutes and free unlimited data download. No, I don't work for either.
