What’s going on with acolyte? Is it stuck on ep 8/9?

Watched Ludwig hoping for something a bit different to usual detective stuff. After a couple of episodes, it became clear it was just going to be a weekly templated murder > suspects > nerdy deus ex machina > credits, with a little bit of quirk in between. Harmless fluff, but got lazy and boring far too quickly.

Last one of this ilk that was any good was Hamish Macbeth. And I wouldn't watch it now in case it's actually shit that only looks good through the prism of its successors.

I like David Mitchell, watched half an episode in the background but other things were going on, haven't gone back to it and likely won't, especially now I know it was written by the same person as death in paradise, which is one of the few things I've seen apart from Mrs Brown's Boys, that I actively dislike and am annoyed by.

Just like always sunny in Philly. How that got past three seasons? The first is utter rubbish and how it got enough viewers to keep going is anyones guess

It's fucking great, the first is a bit ropey though, thankfully Danny Devito loved it so much he financed it as long as he got a part in it.

Surprisingly he’s good. He’s still a bit cockney but he’s actually acting so he makes good viewing.
