  • I really enjoyed this series. Wish they’d make more.

  • Yes that'd be good.

The grave robber one was so good. Absolutely nailed the short story.

  • We watched Bay of Fires on ITVX, and enjoyed it. Aussie Drama about a family in witness protection. Maybe… a bit like ozark with a lighter tone?

I was put off ITVX because of the annoying ads (both on and for the platform), but there’s some decent stuff on there.

  • Enjoying The Fall of House Usher. Which I assume is someone's dream for the Sacklers....

  • Why the fuck aren’t they doing a 2nd season of the acolyte?

    It’s more than deserving

  • Just finished Snowfall, up there with the best ever

very good indeed (and really grim at times 😅)

  • Just finished The Decameron on Netflix. Bloody great fun, fantastic cast, easy to watch, proper laugh-out-loud funny in a good few places.

  • Daughters - Netflix - US prison documentary.

A program to reunite daughters with their father's , moving and heartfelt.

  • Started Succession. Other than going to bed too late I'm fucking loving it.

No idea how Tom Wambsgans manages to be the most obnoxious out of them.

  • Are we one step closer to finally being able to see Homicide again?

    https://www.theguardian.com/tv-and-radio/article/2024/aug/22/homicide-life-on-the-street-show-peacock

  • I watched Years and Years again, it’s as good if not better than I remembered it.

  • I've missed detective John Munch.

  • saw that and started watching homicide : life on the street last night. ^^^
good set of characters and enjoyable so far

  • The Golden Cobra on iPlayer is great. Animation set in Ebbw Vale.

  • Shame Ned Beatty didn't even make it into the photograph, let alone get a mention.

I have an old box set of this lying around somewhere, and remastering an old show as tightly shot as Homicide always was can be tricky, so I'll probably amble towards finding out how to watch this from the UK rather than rush.

  • Sooo good right?

Also can recommend Pantheon and Mars Express
not as hard as Scavengers Reign and last one a bit Blade Runnery but still very cool futuristic designs and good story

  • I'll have to try Scavenger Reigns then. The trailer looked a bit bonkers.

I really enjoyed Blue Eye Samurai on the animated TV front.

  • Can anyone remember the name of a British film or maybe miniseries about guys that robbed a place where damaged money is sent to be disposed of? One of them, the more famous of the actors I think, works in the place and hires or knows some other blokes that help him out and make it look like a robbery?

  • Google says it's either
    Den of Thieves
    Hot Money
    Mad Money

  • I can’t remember it that well, but isn’t the first series of the curse something like that?

By the People just do nothing gang.

  • that's what I thought of first too.

  • Funny you should mention PJDN, never seen it before but just watched the first two episodes this eve, which were pretty bad. Does it get any better?

  • I took a fucking while but I found it, with:

British crime drama security guard robbery -"gold"

    Inside Men

    https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1989062/

  • You either lied to us or you were wrong

It follows the story of an armed robbery at a secure money counting house in Bristol, the events that lead up to it, characters who work there and the aftermath.

  • I'm not sure what point you're making. I thought it was called Inside Man but that was a hollywood film and Inside Men never showed up. I thought it was set in some kind of money storage, disposal or distribution centre. I forgot the whole back story with the lead actors family. I thought it might have starred Ralph Fiennes but he's too famous. Anyway, spent an hour with the missus going over shit until I found a search combo that revealed how shit IMDBs search is..
