Surprised 'Top of the Lake' on bbc 2 hasn't had a mention here. All six episodes are still up on iplayer until Saturday, and worth catching if moody rural New Zealand crime drama is your kind of thing.

Anyone else disappointed by this final season of Dexter?

Updates:
GBBO starts again tonight!
Started watching Breaking Bad, after immense pressure from my bro and Mrs G. Glad I did, 4 eps in and I'm hooked.
Great thing on BBC 4 at the minute about building projects that were never enacted.
Also loving the Alan Whicker series on at the mo

If you haven't started watching Breaking Bad yet you have to start Breaking Bad.
You actually have to. -
• #956
I got half way through the first season and stopped for some reason.

'The Last Leg' - Adam Hills, Josh Widdicombe and some other bloke. What's the appeal? It's about as funny as Gonorrhea
-
• #958
^ agreed, not funny, not entertaining, just three smug blokes being 'clever' to each other - fuck off!
-
• #959
Didn't you guys get the memo? That's comedy nowadays.

Out of boredom and insomnia, I'm struggling to get into Game of Thrones again, despite all the tits. Apparently it takes a whole season to get into. It doesn't help when you recognise every other actor, nor every set looking like something off some American reality dating show. There's no character explication, just a banal series of ham-fisted introductions in CGI rooms.
The book probably starts with a map or a family tree.

^ I really couldn't get into it.......in fact what I saw (three episodes) was laughable nonsense

It's all Tolkein-cum-Conan-esque bicep porn?
Lame of Thrones.

'Tolken cum'?
What happened to you out in the desert man?!

Watching todays episode now, great so far!

Just finished "Orange is the new black" on Netflix. It's not Breaking Bad but I would definitely recommend it. Like a slightly more cheerful Prisoner Cell Block H.

I've stuck on a couple of things recently and quickly thought 'no'. Vikings. Dexter.
Anyone else watching Under The Dome? 99% sure that it is not going to be as good, but one of the main characters is that actor who plays White's bro-in-law in BB and was the main guy in The Shield (The Shield which might just sneak no. 1 in my all time list ahead of BB and The Wire).
Vikings, I quite liked. Entertaining and factually accurate as far as it goes.
Dexter, Its shit but I've watched it all so far, I guess I will make it to the end.
Under the Dome, utter balderdash, dreadful acting and writing, but I always watch it for a laugh.btw, Michael Chiklis took the lead in The Shield but Dean Norris is the one in Breaking Bad, different blokes.

Guillermo del Toro pestered the production team asking to direct an episode of Breaking Bad.
They told him to fuck off in a really nerdy way according to twitter. I'm pleased, he's shit.
However, after just watching the latest episode I've turned into one of those dicks who doesn't like how the show's going, and wants to complain to someone about it.

Really? I thought the latest episode was one of the greatest pieces of TV ever. The detail and depth of the plot is incredible.
not really a spoiler
Even the chess move at the end of the episode was the king retreating!

I thought it was brilliant as well. Intense from start to finish.

Last night I made the mistake of watching Breaking Bad followed by Dexter.
This final season of Dexter is just so bad. I remember being utterly gripped in the first few seasons. I couldn't wait for the most recent episode to end. I don't care about any of the charcters, including Dexter and this season's storyline is really weak. I would pack it in, but there's only 1 episode left...

Breaking Bad is as fine a piece of TV as there has ever been. And well done to the production team for telling Del Toro to fuck off, it really doesn't need one-eyed monsters or any other of his usual shite.
2 more episodes to go, and then I'll probably start all over again.
I've finally just about finished all seven series of The Shield, just the final episode to go.

I agree last nights episode was fantastic.
Even the ending - your asking yourself what on earth he's doing only to know WW has already calculated all this.
Whatever your predictions are for the ending they'll probably be wrong. That's what is so good about BB.
I'll buy the box set.

whilst watching it i wasnt sure if it was the last one, thought the ending would have been abrupt but kind of made sense, then i googled and saw there's still 2 more.
