I’ve got prime and Netflix, now I’m considering getting Apple TV. I’m tempted to ditch Netflix. Is Apple TV really worth it?

Not now Ted Lasso, Shrinking and Silo are finished.

Silo was great!

It was really good.

Yes if you prefer finding something at least half decent in a short amount of time rather than scrolling for hours before switching back to ITV 4 to watch Aliens for 400th time.
I thought slow horses and severance were both well worth a month or two's investment. We have a few other things to watch on there then will probably cancel until some more stuff comes along.
Film selection is a bit meh though.

We're currently halfway through Slow Horses which is great. Also watching Hijack and Platonic as the new episodes appear.
Loot was alright in a stupid fun Parks & Rec type way, Ted Lasso is obviously great, and Severance was good.

This and World War 2 in colour are proper binge worthy television.

So, are the new Bear episodes going to be anywhere near as good as the new Bluey episodes? (tbh - unlikely they'll have anything to compete with the return of Unicorse)

4 episodes into s2 of Bear and it's alright I suppose. It's not having the same kind of impact on me as the first series did.
-
• #8662
Really? I enjoyed it more that the first.

I’ve just started watching survival of the thickest on Netflix.
It’s fairly easy breezy comedy with Michelle Buteau, who is fucking hilarious

Really enjoyed Severance, but the last episode was a total let down in terms of reveals and explanations.
Enjoying Central Park on apple tv too as a whimsical 20 minuter.

3 episodes in and yeah, the same. Still enjoyable, but it's a bit more formulaic sit'com'. And there's no way slack-jawed Carmy would pull that doctor, even if he had a sorely-needed shampooing.

Episodes 6 & 7 are great.
Although E6 had an Uncut Gems vibe so won’t appeal to everyone.

Oh man, yeah the family Christmas episode was great!

Poker Face -feels like a tribute to Columbo but in a good way. Aided by a really strong cast of guest stars. Hoping they make a season 2 as we just finished season 1 last night.

I don’t particularly care for flamenco but the first episode of Camarón de la Isla on Netflix was superb.

Bit niche but Kerry v Dublin live on BBC2 today.

I've just re-re-watched all of Only Murders In The building which, despite a few stumbles in Season 2, is still a constant joy. Season 3 starts on the 8th.

Anyone a fan of Traitors UK ? Currently watching Traitors Australia and I think it's a better show
-

Really enjoyed the Aussie one. Thought the American one was a bit crap because they used people who had already done reality TV before.

Quite enjoying Too Hot To Handle. Very trashy, but light entertainment.
Episode 5 is also by far the closest the show has ever been to the books, not just in the plot but the narrative structure. Now, I don't mind adaptations bringing their own approach and ideas, but this suggests that their own ideas and approach are just bad.
With Cavill leaving at the end of this season, they may be royally fucked.
