I hate white people...

Raised by wolves is great. My OH hates sci-fi but she's hooked.

they are just... the worst.

Not all white people...

I wish I'd started thing it with my OH. She's pretty sci-fi tolerant but I didn't think she'd be in to it. Tempted to start again with her, but I'm 7 episodes in.
Also I likened her to Mother and I'm scared of her watching it and realising the full magnitude of my comparison :-D

Just start moving her glasses away from her before asking stupid questions for a while, then get her to watch it.

Maybe hide her glasses at the bottom of the garden, better safe than sorry...

Bury them in the shed.

There you go...

• #6238
Ok, done. I was getting a bit sick of her gliding silently in to the sky leaving me stuck with the kids, to be honest.

It'll all end in tears of course... No rain, just tears...

Bloody Women eh?

Can't live with 'em, can't relocate and repopulate the human race on an exoplanet without 'em

Cheers, amd @spenceey
It will just be background tv so not sure if I can justify the LG price. I've also seen a lot of comments generally about OLED picture burn-in. Is that something you've had any issues with?
Looks like I'll need to head somewhere and actually have a proper look at them in the flesh and see if anything is worth the price.
I do have an old 50" TV that is spare that I'm happy with the picture quality but is a bit bulky. I guess I could look into neat mounting options for that.

I've had no burn-in issues on three different LG OLEDs I've owned / currently own.
YMMV depending on what content you watch but it's a very occurrence and LG replace most screens that have the issue. If you buy through JL, they'll replace burn-in screens with the 5yr warranty.

Anyone watched the latest Battlestar Galactica on iPlayer? Read good reviews online

the one that came out 16 years ago?

Lovecraft Country carrying on strong.
Without spoiling any of the story, the "little girls" are probably the most terrifying antagonists I've seen on screen in years, it's like the next step in horror evolution since the spooky girls from the ring/grudge etc. the movement, facial expressions, everything. I'd watch a horror movie based entirely around them no question.
Also enjoyed when things got a bit meta, given my previous comments about the book.
in general really liking how it's become its own thing now. bit like the office (US) after series one when it found its own stride.
hoping it'll get a second season.

It's good, ending is meh but the series is great sci-fi overall

Thanks, need a decent sci fi fix!
Still enjoying it, don't think it's got much to do with the other thing but who knows? Great atmosphere to it, nice to see a bit of cash up on the screen, looks beautiful...
