Nash Bridges is set to return, no return date as yet.

Really enjoyed a couple of low-effort shows recently.
3rd series of man like Mobeen was entertaining.
Binged all of Dave on iplayer this weekend, feels a little like a rip-off of atlanta tbh but it's well done and obviously has its own spin on things.
Also been falling back on Workaholics (amazon prime) as a filler show when I've got nothing better to do. It's not amazing but has its moments and there's 7 seasons worth.
Thought I'd give the netflix original prominently featured animated show "food wars!" a try and within the first 4 minutes a young woman tried an octopus dish and was subsequently tentacle raped in a reaction shot... so maybe one to avoid (or not, fucking pervs)

after the malcom in the middle discussion last page, just watched the pilot and episode 2 on the tellybox, 2 episodes a day on e4 music, or one of those channels, for the foreseeable

Ha, that's funny, I am doing the same. Up to S1 04 at the moment. Only via an ad-free illegal stream.
It's just as good as I remember it. -

Ironic that Frankie Muniz lost all memory of Malcolm in the Middle. Hopefully he at least enjoys watching the show.
The Floor is Lava on Netflix. A post-modern deconstructivist imagining of what would happen if the floor were lava. Surprisingly good, although the beginning with weird CGI scenes is bizarre.

My children like The Floor is Lava. From the 10 mins I saw, it gets a bit repetitive, since the floor is always and indeed, lava. How about some variations using urine, ham etc.

I get where you are going with this:
Teams of lactose intolerant people play The Floor is Milk
Methodists in the Floor is Beer
and of course the French version of the floor is water with a little bit of soap in itI don’t think it’ll wash though.

Perry Mason reboot is rather good. A particularly shocking, one second scene in episode 1 makes you realise how far TV has come from Reagan era white bread and mayo wholesomeness.
Also appreciate that they haven't opted for a lazy, contemporary update.

4 episodes into the third season of The Sinner (Netflix) and its pretty good so far.
-
• #5986
Finished it already - was good. Think season 1 was still the strongest but definitely worth watching.

Warrior Nuns on Netflix.
What's not to love.

Just finished Sucession.
Really enthralling and it's wall to wall arseholes as characters, non really that likeable but at the same time -
• #5989
We've got 2 episodes into Season 1 of Sinner and not sure whether it's worth continuing - you reckon it is?
-
• #5990
I really enjoyed it but I guess YMMV...
I thought the whole story was original and the characters were good. Definitely a slow burn (apart from the first few mins I guess!) as things get revealed.
-
• #5991
Each season seems to follow the same concept and slow reveal, but the stories and characters are good and doesn't feature many of the usual TV tropes.
-
• #5992
Guess we'll stick with it for at least one more episode then...

Floor is Lava
Thought it was absolute bobbins!
This I could get behind though

Can’t wait.

Loved the Keith Haring doc it filled so many gaps in what I thought I knew about him.
His mum’s necklace at the end made it really dusty in here.

• #5997
Yeah that got us too.

The dialog, acting and protagonist 1st-person monologues (seriously sounds like it was badly translated and dubbed but I don't think it was). Story and fighting is fucking rad though once it gets going.

May I also recommend Netflix's The Order as being utter tripe ina similar vein, albeit even more Buffy-like.

I've been hovering over both of those for a while, downloaded Hanna instead.
I’m hooked too, it can be hard watching but it’s engaging and tackles difficult subjects tastefully and head on. My favourite series since Years & Years.
