Yeah ours will be on the wall, high, for the same reason! Perhaps the ceiling would be safest. Actually, just have to wait for the next eBay voucher for 15% or 20% off bit expect one to be along shortly so second guessing the price based on what it was a week or so ago. Thanks for advice. Think I'd probably discount the 60" LG if it remaind 25%+ dearer than the same model 55"

Managed half an hour of Witcher. It was not good.

It's amazing, you're just not watching it right.

I made it all the way to the end and the epic battle of Jennifer on her school trip against a dozen respawning soldiers of Milfguard.

I haven't seen any in real life but I've read some poor reviews of HiSense TVs so I'd be wary of them.
In terms of the LGs they're normally decent. I'd also look at this Samsung
https://www.ebuyer.com/882385-samsung-ru7100-55-4k-smart-uhd-tv-ue55ru7100kxxuPersonally I tend to ignore the smart features. They are generally outdated before the rest of the TV is and the interface is a bit clunky. I'd favour a Chromecast or Fire TV for twenty quid and view any built in stuff as a bonus.

Yeah that was about all I could stomach. And I’d say I’m pretty sword/sorcery compatible.

Thanks for your input. Yep, thing I'm settling on an LG or Samsung 55" c.£350 but would go to 450 for 65 if such a thing ever came up.
What's your view of the Amazon Fire JVC TVs?
Thanks again

I watched all of The Witcher and still can’t believe how bad the acting is. Even the one line characters deliver them with absolute rigidity. Is it the script?
Then there’s the distinct lack of any sense of time throughout the whole show. So you end up with characters saying things like “I’ve been doing this for decades”, but you’ve only seen them do about three things. To me it felt like watching a plot that should have been spread over multiple seasons, crammed into one, without a single drop of character development.
Roll on season 2.

They're bloody old people though ain't they? Alive a few hundred years before all the really good stuff happens from when Geralt meets Ciri and the games kinda start.
-
• #5592
Never tried one of the JVC ones so I've no idea. Given that you can generally pick up a fire stick for twenty quid haven't it integrated wouldn't really sway my decision.

Someone I went to school with is currently being really shit on Celebrity Mastermind. I’m embarrassed on behalf of our shit school.

Anybody watched undone? It's really something special. 10/10

I bought the 60 inch lg. It's fucking great.

UM7100??
-
• #5597
Yep. And very very happy with it indeed.
Standard settings are a bit shit out of the box but once sorted and pretty easily. It's great.
Was gonna use a Chromecast ultra but actually the smart stuff is pleasingly simple.

Ideal. I'm not the most technology savvy; any advice/assistance on set up would be much appreciated.
Glad your happy with it? Where'd you pick it up may I ask? Cheers

Got it at Argos before Xmas as was local and only about a tenner more than the cheapest I could find online and meant I wouldn't have to stay in for a delivery.
Basically turn off anything enhanced. If you remind me if you get it I'll just ping over the settings I've got

Much appreciated; yes, think Argos and LG have a relationship where they always do an exclusive (in this case the seldom seen 60") model for Black Friday and Christmas. I'll give you a shout if (as is looking likely) I get one of these in the coming week.
cheers
Haven't there been two films already?
